North East Link Public Hearing

Connecting Melbourne's North and South East freeways, the North East Link Project is the largest in Victoria's history.

Across 8 weeks, Stagepass provided a complete Audiovisual solution for the public hearing held at the Veneto Club in Bulleen.

More than 200 people provided digital and physical evidence for consideration. All of which was captured and recorded.

"Recording 35 days audio was by far our biggest challenge. We wanted to ensure that if one recording failed due to any reason, we were able to provide the IAC (independent Inquiry and Advisory Committee) with a backup instantly.

To achieve this, every microphone was captured 3 times in all of the spaces.

Our main record was captured using a Denon DN300 recorder with a backup multitrack using Waves Tracks Live & finally a Zoom H4n for good measure.

All recorders proved to be reliable with only one interruption involving a power outage."

Due to the Veneto Club's weekend bookings, Stagepass loaded out each space every Friday afternoon and installed the rooms every Sunday for a Monday morning commencement.
